August 11th

Went to the chopping block portion of the show. Lots of nerves running through all the singers. First things first, I took a nap for half an hour on the floor.

When the elimination show started I was prepared to be in the bottom three. I was comfortable because I was happy with my decision to do “Mr. Brightside” acoustic. Nothin' is gonna change that. Ty and I got a special nod for taking a risk and pulling it through. I was psyched that Ty got the encore. His version of "No Woman, No Cry" was the best I have heard outside of Bob Marley himself. After the encore, I was really surprised to see Suzie into the bottom three. Brandon and Jessica were also on the block. Brandon unfortunately got the song "Don't Lose Your Head," and he knew going in that he would struggle with lyrics. INXS decided he was not right for the band and called him out this week. I am really bummed that he is not around. He has such a large personality, and he is greatly missed around the house.
