Thank you to Laurie who listened to the interview and managed to jot down notes along the way. Please be aware that this is not a literal transcript, just a report on what was heard during the interview.

The DJ asked "who never flushed the toilet..who was just a mess at the mansion". Marty's answer: JD.

DJ: Were there any romances in the mansion?

Marty: Unfortunately all the women had boyfriends, fiances, or were married...so that bummed me out.

DJ: Was JD as arrogant and egotistical as he looked on TV?

Marty: TV made him look worse than he is. We really got along pretty well.

Marty also talked about the fact he kept the drama on the stage...and said he just refused to get involved in the drama at the mansion. He just didn't want any part in it.

Marty was asked about not winning. Marty said he wanted to win and was sunk when he didn't. Although was thrilled when INXS asked him to open. Bobby (Lovehammers) was in the audience and he said as soon as they announced JD the winner, he could hear Bobby all the way on stage going "YEAH!!!" He said LH were very nervous that Marty would win, and they'd be left without a lead singer...so they were thrilled he took 2nd.

Marty said it was all "meant to be" and he's so happy for Lovehammers and that he gets to enjoy success with his friends and bandmates (paraphrasing).

DJ: Did you know you have the most downloaded song on MSN Music (Trees)?

Marty: (paraphrasing) Yes, and that's awesome. It was my goal to get to do an original song eventually on the show. I just wanted to get it out there. I had no idea it would get the response it has.

Marty talked about the fact he's "been on the phone 8 hours a day for the past 5 days" with all the deals coming his way. He said there is so much legal wrangling and contract stuff; he hates it but is trying to get thru it all and hammer out the best deal for him and the LH. He said there are management companies out the ass calling him, and he's trying to sort thru them all.

He said he was out Birthday night with Jordis, Dana, Brandon, Ty and others from the show at the Rainbow Club and another LA club to see a band.

Regarding Lovehammers: Marty says, "We are going to do a benefit concert in Chicago for Hurricane relief, but we dont have a venue yet. Trying to work that out. Should be in about 2 weeks or so. At least that's what we're hoping for.

Regarding JD: Marty said there were a few times he thought JD would be booted off. However he peaked at the right time and grew as a performer and became "a real rock star." He also said he was happy for JD.

Marty did not indicate when he'd be home in Chitown...too much going on in LA right now for him.

((Oh you all will love this!! When they started the interview..you can hear the radio station calling Marty's phone..hear it ring and he answers "Marty Casey". I loved that!!))

Marty mentioned that the most surprising thing to him when he first left the mansion is that so many people kept coming up to him and acting like they knew him. He said it took him awhile to get used to that. He took 3 days to just "chill" from it all and get used to "life outside the mansion". He said they had no access to tv, internet, newspapers, etc. and had only one 30 min phone call to family a week. Could not talk to Lovehammers, and he hated that. He said its still strange getting used to the "real world" again and that they really were very isolated. Also said that they did get on each other's nerves at times because of no outlet. However he said he and JD did get along pretty well.
