Both websites of Marty Casey received silver Addy awards at the recent 4th District Regional Ad Fed competition. The Fourth District includes 2,000 advertising professionals in Florida and the Caribbean participating via 25 local chapters. The awards ceremony took place in Orlando, FL on Saturday May 16th.

Marty Casey’s Official website MartyCasey.com was selected in the Advertising for the Arts, Interactive category and the Bright as Brooklyn Viral Video site at BrightasBrooklyn.com was selected in the Elements of Advertising, Special Effects, Internet category. The two sites had been awarded gold Addys at the local level and advanced to the district/regional level. The CD release party for the Lovehammers CD, “Let Me Out” is scheduled for June 19th at House of Blues, 329 N Dearborn St, Chicago, IL. ALL AGES - Tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster on March 13. Marty Casey’s Official Site and his Bright as Brooklyn Viral Video site were awarded Gold Addys at the recent Gulf Coast Marketing and Media Association (GCMMA) Addy Gala. The ADDY® Awards is the first of a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). It is the industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence. Because of the Gold awarded at the local level, the two sites now advance to the district competion.

Cyber Sytes, Inc., the designer of both sites, has posted their Addy winners here where you can read the credits for the sites. Each person listed in the credits will receive a Gold Addy certificate as well. You can also read the GCMMA press release here.

After a successful launch of the first item in The Marty Casey Silver Elements Collection, Marty Casey has added to his signature collection just in time for the Holiday season. Here is a photo from the October 5 “Step Out Walk to fight Diabetes” in St. Charles, Illinois that Marty participated in. Marty was asked by Kiki Vale and the Chicago regional office of the American Diabetes Association to perform at the opening ceremony featuring some celebrities and famous athletes. Marty performed “TREES” at the opening ceremony and donated a Silver Elements Dogtag to this worthwhile cause. Shown in this photo with Marty is radio personality Kiki Vale and former Chicago Bulls player Toni Kukoc.

In conjunction with his hit song, “Trees”, the premiere item is a Trees dogtag necklace. Each necklace purchase supports the planting of 5 trees.

The first 100 people to purchase the Trees necklace will receive a FREE CD of the single, “Trees”. This is a special acoustic version performed by Marty and Dave Navarro. Marty will also be signing the CDs and giving autographs during the event.

In addition, there will be an acoustic mini-concert immediately following Marty’s in-store appearance.

While performing Saturday night, August 9 at Goodfellas in Pottsville, PA, Marty Casey collided onstage with the head of Tracii Guns guitar. Marty received a gash to the head and was taken for medical attention. After an hour and a half trip to the ER, Marty received 5 staples to close the gash. Tracii accompanied Marty to the ER and sat waiting with him throughout the ordeal. There were also fans waiting at the hospital. Marty expressed his appreciation to Tracii and the fans for their concern. Marty sent his assurances that “the show will go on” and no dates will be missed. Photographer Tony Fiore was on hand at the Pottsville show and caught the shot. (Warning: not for young, impressionable eyes or for anyone who is squeamish at the site of blood.) View here.
